Vasiliki Konstantinou has a BSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics (Democritus University of Thrace) (2017-2021). She elaborated her bachelor thesis ‘Pharmacoepigenetics in schizophrenia’ at the laboratory of pharmacology in Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace, under the supervision of Professor Aikaterini Alexiou Chatzaki, from October 2020 to July 2021. After receiving her bachelor degree, in September 2021, she has begun attending the Master in Science ‘Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics’ (Medical School, DUTH), the Head and Scientific Director of which being Professor Vangelis Manolopoulos. Ever since of February 2022 she has being working as a Postgraduate Student for the project «Individualized Medicine & Pharmacological Research Solutions Center, IMPReS» (MIS 5047189) which is implemented under the Action “Support for Regional Excellence”, funded by the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF 2014–2020). As part of her undergraduate studies, she had done her internship at the Cytology Laboratory of Dr. Chatzis Odysseus (July – August 2020).
Her main researcher interests focus on the study of psychiatric diseases, especially schizophrenia and depression, and pharmacogenomics.
